When Is Drug Testing Required?

We support all testing scenarios required by federal regulation or company policy.

🆕

Pre-Employment

Test candidates before they begin work in safety-sensitive or drug-free workplace positions. Required for all DOT-covered employees.

🎲

Random Testing

Unannounced, computer-generated random selection testing. Required for DOT-regulated industries at specific annual rates.

🚨

Post-Accident

Required after workplace accidents or incidents meeting specific thresholds. Timelines are strict — we move fast.

👁️

Reasonable Suspicion

When a trained supervisor observes behavior or appearance suggesting impairment. Must be documented before testing.

🔄

Return-to-Duty

Mandatory testing before an employee returns to safety-sensitive work after a violation. Negative result required.

📆

Follow-Up Testing

Unannounced follow-up tests following a return-to-duty event. DOT requires at minimum 6 tests in the first 12 months.
